「写真会」はPowerShovel,Ltd./SuperHeadz.Tokyoがはじめた写真評論サイトです。

「写真会」は、集まった写真をセレクトし即興でコメントを付けるという参加者限定のクローズドなイベントとしてスタートした。２０１２年になってネットに進出し、さらについ最近になって、一般からの投稿写真を受け付ける形が整った。基本的に毎日、写真がアップされている。

「写真会」では、限りなく失敗に近い写真も、本当の失敗写真も、傑作に近い写真も、本当の傑作も、同じようにフラットに扱われる。それらは心にひっかかるという一点だけで選ばれ、テクニックやテーマなどは全く無視される。そして一見、写真とは無関係な言葉が付けられ写真が公開される。写真とコメントは溶け合い新しい意味を作るときもあるが、反発しあいそれぞれが別のものになってしまう場合もある。それらの作用をすべて含めたところで、「写真会」は写真というものを扱っている。

セレクトもコメントもたった一人が担当し、皆が「いいね」を付け合うこともなく、誰かが賞金を手にする事もなく、写真は公開され続ける。ここには権威も、見識も、有名人も存在せず、ただ単に、一人の写真好きが独断と偏見で写真を選び、独断と偏見でコメントを付け、いく人かの親切な協力者が言語を翻訳し、数え切れない人々が写真を撮っている。「写真会」が主張したいのは、この独断と偏見は、あなたたちの写真の集合体から導き出されたものだから、決して独断と偏見ではないのだ。ということだ。計画して撮られていない写真にこそ、写真の持つ根源的な魔力が宿っている。「写真会」は、それを再認識する試みなのだ。

「写真会」の写真は、あなたの写真に対する考えを少しばかり変えるだけでなく、あなたの日常への眼差し自体を変えてしまうかもしれない。つまらない日常を撮るということは、あまりにスリリングだ。そして、あなたが撮影者であるにもかかわらず、あなた自身が全く価値を見出せない写真が、どこかの誰かにとってはかけがえのない写真となる、という写真のマジックに出会う事になる。

このスタイルがいつまで続けられるかはわからない。きっと投稿写真が殺到すれば、今のままのやり方では無理だろう。このスリリングで平凡な日常的写真は、今しか体験できないかもしれない。あなたは体験するべきだ、と、思う。


PowerShovel,Ltd./SuperHeadz.Tokyoとは

パワーショベルは本陣名である。カメラの企画制作、音楽レーベルPowerShovelAudio、主に写真集を出版するPowerShovelBooks、音楽と映像のミクスチャーイベントやビデオインスタレーションなど、広範に活動する。クリエイティブチームとしてはSuperHeadz.Tokyoと名乗る。

“Shashinkai” is a photography criticism site started by PowerShovel,Ltd./SuperHeadz.Tokyo.

“Shashinkai” started as a closed event for a limited audience where photographs were collected, selected, and then spiced with improvised comments. In 2012, this became available online, and recently, it has opened submissions of photographs to the general public. The photographs are uploaded online basically every day.

In “Shashinkai”, the photographs that are infinitely close to failure, a real failed photograph, a photograph close to being a masterpiece, and a real masterpiece - all of them are treated equally, the same. Those photographs are chosen because of just that one thing that gets caught in my mind, and all the techniques and themes are ignored. Then these words that might seem to not be related to the photographs are put in place along with the photographs, and they are made public. The photograph and the comment sometimes melt together to make a new meaning, but other times they repel each other and each of them turn into something completely different. Having all of those in mind, “Shashinkai” deals with what we call, photography.

Selections and comments are made single handedly. No one can “like” a photograph, no one will get a prize, but the photographs will be kept and shown online. There is no authority, wisdom, nor fame. Here, photographs are simply chosen by one photo-lover with some bias, only, who later puts comments on each of the photos with more bias. Great collaborators will later translate the comments, and countless people take photographs. What “Shashinkai” wants to emphasize is that, because these biases and dogmas were led from all of your photographs as one, they are not bias or dogma anymore. There lies a primordial spell that photography possess in those photographs that were taken without any plans. “Shashinkai” is simply an attempt to realize that fact again.

The photographs in “Shashinkai” will not only change the way you think about photographs, but might even change the way you look at your everyday life. It is incredibly thrilling to take photographs of boring daily life. And you will meet the magic of photography, when the photograph you took that you cannot see any meaning in becomes a photograph that is so precious and irreplaceable to someone somewhere.

I am not sure how long this style will go on for. I am sure, if we get way too many submissions, we will not be able to keep going with the way we are running the show right now. These thrilling and bland daily photographs may be something you can only experience now. I think that, you need to experience this.


What is Powershovel, Ltd./ SuperHeadz.Tokyo?
Powershovel is the name of the headquarters. Powershovel has broad activities, which include designing and producing cameras, a music label, PowerShovelAudio, publishing photobooks as PowerShovelBooks, and planning various music and movie mixture events and video installations. As a creative team, Powershovel uses the alias, SuperHeadz.Tokyo.

“写真会”是由PowerShovel,Ltd./SuperHeadz.Tokyo所创办的写真评论网站。

“写真会”是对收集而来的照片进行挑选，并添加上即兴的评语，以限定参加人员的封闭式活动为最初的起点的。2012年开始进军网络，最近，更是完善了受理来自一般用户的照片投稿功能。基本上，每天都会上传照片。

在“写真会”，不管是失败之作，或是接近失败之作，还是接近成功之作，甚至是杰作也好，统统一视同仁。拍摄技术，照片主题之类的完全无视，只要牵动人心就会被选上。然后在照片上添上貌似与照片没有关系的评语之后发表。虽然有的时候会照片与评语会相互溶解，产生新的意义，但是相互排斥之后各自成为完全不相关的东西的时候也有。这些副作用全部包含在内的照片，统统由“写真会”来保管。

挑选照片也好，添加评语也好，全部由一个人来负责，大家也不能互相添加“赞”，也没有谁会拿到什么奖金，只有照片被接二连三的公开下去。这里没有什么权威，没有见识，也没有名人的存在，单纯的只是由一个喜欢照片的人独断并带有“偏见”地挑选照片，添加上独断与偏见的评语，外加几位热心的帮手帮忙翻译语言，再来就是加上数不胜数的人拍来的照片。“写真会”所想主张的是，其实“独断”与“偏见”，是从你们的照片的集合体中所引导出来的东西，所以绝对不是独断和偏见。在没有被精心设计的情况下所拍下的照片才是真正拥有照片最根源性的魔力的。“写真会”是要尝试重新去认识这一点。

“写真会”的照片，不只是稍许改变了你对你的照片的看法，对你日常生活的看法本身也说不定会产生改变。拍摄无聊的日常生活是恐怖的。自己拍的照片，也许自己完全看不出其价值之所在，但是对于其他人来说这也许是无可替代的照片也说不定，这，就是与照片的魔力。

现在这样的形式可以坚持多久其实我也不可以保证。但是如果投稿照片一下子寄来很多的话，恐怕现在的形式是行不通的。这些恐怖而又平凡的日常生活照片，也许只有现在才可以体验得到。所以我认为，你，应该来体验一下！
